Adidas the Advertiser of the Year 2006

Erich Stamminger, president and CEO of Adidas, will receive the Advertiser of the Year award at the 53rd Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival this June.
Stamminger, an executive board member of Adidas-Salomon, is responsible for the Adidas brand's business worldwide and its global marketing. He will receive the award at the festival on the evening of Saturday, June 24.
"We're honored that the organizers of the Cannes Lions Festival have chosen Adidas as Advertiser of the Year," said Stamminger, in a statement. "With our partners, TBWA and 180 Amsterdam, we continue to look for ways to push the creative boundary, creating powerful new campaigns, which can connect with consumers both emotionally and personally."
The award recognizes the international communication of the Adidas brand, as well as its global influence on lifestyle trends. Adidas ads have won 34 Lions across all media in the last decade, including 11 last year.

"Their numerous awards are a testament to a client who truly understands the creative process and is passionate about creating great work.
